Orioles wear city pride on their chests

The Orioles wore their return to Baltimore with pride on Monday.

In their first game back at Oriole Park at Camden Yards since civil unrest in the city forced them to temporarily relocate, the team wore specially made home jerseys that read "Baltimore" across the chest during its 5-2 win over the Blue Jays.

"It's good to be back," first baseman Chris Davis said. "[We're] definitely excited to play in front of our fans again, and come out here and give them a win. It was huge for us, and hopefully it was huge for them."

The crowd presence didn't go unnoticed by the players or manager Buck Showalter, who noticed the Baltimore fans return a bat to Toronto's Edwin Encarnacion after it flew out of his hands on a swing and miss.

"It's very good to be back and have [a nice] crowd," starting pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez said. "All of the people that came to the game tonight were into the game since the first pitch, so that definitely motivates you as a player. You're going to have good fans out there cheering the whole game, and it felt really good."
