O's-Yankees postponed; split DH today
BALTIMORE -- As rain and winds continue to hit the East Coast, Friday night's game between the Orioles and Yankees was postponed and will be made up on Saturday as part of a day-night, split-admission doubleheader at Camden Yards, with the first game starting at 12:05 p.m. ET and the nightcap starting at 7:05.
Tickets for Friday's game will be honored for the afternoon game. Gates for the first game will open at 10:30 a.m., while parking lots will open at 10 a.m. Gate times for the nightcap will be announced at the conclusion of the first game.
The Yankees will start Ivan Nova on Saturday afternoon and rookie Luis Severino in the second game, though manager Joe Girardi said the club could change its Game 2 starter if it has already clinched home-field advantage for Tuesday's American League Wild Card Game presented by Budweiser. Entering Friday, one Yankees win or Astros loss would assure New York of hosting that contest. The Orioles will start Wei-Yin Chen in Saturday's first game and Ubaldo Jimenez in the nightcap.
The Friday Night Fireworks show, presented by Johns Hopkins Advantage MD, has been canceled and won't be rescheduled. The first 20,000 fans 15 and over attending Saturday's night game will receive an Orioles Knit Bomber Hat, as originally scheduled.
Fans unable to attend the makeup game can exchange their tickets for any remaining home game this season on a "dollar-for-dollar" basis. StubHub tickets are also non-exchangeable but may be resold on StubHub until noon on Saturday. Prepaid parking permits dated for Friday are valid only for Saturday afternoon's game. Fans may also choose to hold their tickets until 2016 tickets go on sale, at which point they may be exchanged for tickets to any April 2016 home game, except Opening Day. All exchanges are subject to availability and must be completed by April 30, 2016.
