Two homegrown Padres prospects -- Alex Dickerson and Fernando Perez -- continued their torrid hitting Thursday night for San Diego's Minor League affiliates.

Dickerson, 24, a product of Poway High, was 2-for-4 with a walk Thursday night for Triple-A El Paso. The right fielder has hit safely in five straight games (9-for-20 with a home run and five RBIs) and nine straight starts (15-for-35 with two home runs and eight RBIs). He is now hitting .360 on the season with a .419 on-base percentage. Dickerson is the fifth-leading hitter in the Pacific Coast League.

Perez, 21, from Otay Ranch High, was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored for Advanced Class A Lake Elsinore. The infielder has hit safely in eight straight games, going 14-for-33 with two homers, 11 RBIs and seven runs scored. The Padres' third-round Draft pick in 2012 has raised his batting average from .182 to .263 during the streak.

Another hitter of note in the Padres' farm system is Class A Fort Wayne left fielder Nick Torres. The 21-year-old was San Diego's fourth-round pick in last summer's Draft out of Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo. Torres was 2-for-4 Thursday with a double. He has hit in eight straight games, going 11-for-33 with a home run and four RBIs. Torres is hitting .327 on the season, the eighth-highest mark in the Midwest League.
