Pirates and Central Blood Bank team up to host Blood Drive June 25 thru June 27 at PNC Park
All donors will receive two tickets to an upcoming Pirates game
The Pittsburgh Pirates and Central Blood Bank announced they will host the third Blood Drive of 2013 at PNC Park. The drive is scheduled for Tuesday, June 25 through Thursday, June 27 from noon to 7:30 p.m. each day inside the PNC Park press conference room.
All participating donors will receive a pair of tickets to an upcoming game at PNC Park as well as a Pirates promotional item. Each donor will be entered in a special drawing with one lucky winner selected to throw out a ceremonial first pitch on Friday, August 2 when the Pirates take on the Colorado Rockies at PNC Park. In addition, on June 25 Pirates alumni Manny Sanguillen will be on hand from noon to noon to 1:30 p.m. to take photos and sign free autographs for donors.
Limited free parking for the Pirates Blood Drive will be available in the lot across the street (Red Lot 6) from the press entrance on General Robinson Street, courtesy of Alco Parking.
Donating blood is important as each individual whole blood donor can make a difference by saving up to three lives.
