Guilmet claimed off waviers by Brewers

LOS ANGELES -- The Milwaukee Brewers claimed righty Preston Guilmet, who was designated for assignment by the Dodgers, off waivers on Friday.

Guilmet was designated July 21 to make room for the activation of outfielder Carl Crawford from the 60-day disabled list. The Dodgers claimed Guilmet off waivers from Tampa Bay on July 10.

Guilmet pitched in three games for Triple-A Oklahoma City while with the Dodgers. He takes the roster spot of former Dodger Jonathan Broxton, who was traded Friday by Milwaukee to St. Louis.
