Price feels better after throwing bullpen session

BOSTON -- Three days after reporting soreness during a bullpen session, David Price threw another one on Tuesday and this one went much better, according to manager Joe Maddon.

Price, out since May 16 with a left triceps strain, does not yet have a next step planned, but Maddon said that'll occur soon.

"He was very sharp," Maddon said. "We're going to consult him to decide what we're doing next, but he was really good."

Sunday, Price said the initial soreness he felt following the bullpen was not a setback, but he just wants to be sure he has enough juice to make it though a Major League lineup.

"My entire arm was sore [Saturday]," Price said Sunday. "And that's just because of getting out there and facing those hitters after not doing it for a month, exerting the type of energy that I was exerting. To feel as good as I do today, it's definitely a big bright spot, so it's good."
