Prospect Drury homers twice for Visalia

Third baseman Brandon Drury, the D-backs' No. 8 prospect, hit two home runs on Thursday to lead Class A Advanced Visalia to a 12-4 victory at San Jose. He finished the game 3-for-5 with three runs scored and four RBIs.

Drury was a part of the package the D-backs received from the Braves in exchange for Justin Upton in January 2013. In 20 games this season, he is hitting .302 with a .570 slugging percentage and five home runs. Thursday marked his fifth career two-homer game.

Though Drury is known for his power, he had been in a home run drought before Thursday. His first-inning drive was his first in 57 at-bats, a skid that dated back to April 8.

Both of Drury's home runs came off San Jose starter Joan Gregorio. The Giants' No. 12 prospect gave up seven runs on seven hits in five innings.
