Rained out again, Rox to play DH Wednesday
DENVER -- The Rockies and D-backs were rained out for the second straight night on Tuesday, and the clubs will play a doubleheader at Coors Field starting at 1:10 p.m. MT on Wednesday.
Dating back to Sunday, when a game with the Giants was rained out, the Rockies have lost the last three games to rain. The last time the Rockies lost three in a row to weather was April 27 and 28, 2005, with the second date being a doubleheader. Those games were to be played against the Marlins, but a snowstorm hit Denver.
Wednesday's will be a traditional doubleheader, meaning the ballpark will not be cleared between games. Only tickets marked "May 6, 2015, 1:10 p.m." will be honored. Tickets for Tuesday's postponded game are valid for exchange for any game through the remainder of the season, including Wednesday's doubleheader -- value for value, best available seating.
The teams are discussing a Sept. 1 makeup date for Monday's rainout, but there was no official announcement as of Tuesday afternoon. Fans with tickets for Monday's game may exchange those tickets value for value for any game prior to the eventual rescheduled game, or use them for the rescheduled Monday game.
Rockies manager Walt Weiss said Tuesday afternoon that he has no qualms with pushing lefty Tyler Matzek (2-0, 2.70 ERA) to Wednesday's first game, even though Matzek's last outing was April 27, when he went five innings in a victory at Arizona. That leaves righty Jordan Lyles (2-2, 4.25) to start the nightcap.
The D-backs also will stay on their announced rotation, with righty Josh Collmenter (2-3, 2.76) starting the first game Wednesday and lefty Robbie Ray making his 2015 Major League debut in the nightcap.
Tickets purchases via StubHub will automatically be refunded. StubHub tickets are not valid for exchange or refund at Coors Field or the Rockies Dugout Stores.
Complimentary tickets may not be exchanged because their value is zero dollars; discounted tickets may be exchanged only for the amount paid to the Rockies and are subject to constraints applicable to the original sale.
There will be no cash refunds. To receive a refund, tickets must be returned for a refund check that will be issued in four to six weeks. Ticket exchanges will be accepted at the Coors Field Ticket Office and all Rockies Dugout Stores.

The ticket policy also applies to parking passes for club-operated parking lots (Lots A, B and West Lot).
