Sunday's rainout with Tigers to be made up Aug. 23

Game will be first part of day-night split doubleheader beginning at 12:10 p.m. CT

MINNEAPOLIS -- The Twins announced Friday that the game against the Detroit Tigers that was postponed on Sunday will be made up on Saturday, Aug. 23, at 12:10 p.m. CT as part of a split day-night doubleheader at Target Field.

That day's originally scheduled game, which was to begin at 6:10 p.m., will be moved to 7:10 p.m.

Fans holding tickets to the postponed game have two options:

1. Utilize their tickets for admission to the rescheduled 12:10 p.m. game on Aug. 23.

2. Utilize the value of their ticket (the amount paid) as a voucher toward any future Twins regular-season game in 2014. Fans may apply the paid value of their ticket to seats in any Target Field seating area, based on availability. Any exchanges must be made at the Target Field box office at least 48 hours prior to the rescheduled game.

Due to discounts offered for the purchase of some tickets, the amount paid for the ticket (and thus the value of the ticket) may be different than the price printed on the ticket. Tickets for the postponed game are not subject to refunds.
