Odor saves a run, ends a Blue Jays rally

ARLINGTON -- Second baseman Rougned Odor saved a run for the Rangers and starter Martin Perez with a terrific defensive play in the top of the fifth inning of Sunday night's 5-1 loss to the Blue Jays in Game 3 of the American League Division Series.

Toronto, leading 2-0, had Kevin Pillar on third base with one out and Ben Revere at the plate when Texas brought the infield in to cut off the run at the plate.

Revere got jammed by a Perez pitch and hit a soft line drive up the middle. Pillar thought it would fall in and broke for the plate. But Odor made a terrific backhanded catch just off the ground and threw to third for an easy inning-ending double play.
