Andrus exits game with minor ankle injury
Rangers shortstop spiked on left ankle on double play in second
ARLINGTON -- Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus left Thursday's game against the Angels after three innings when he was spiked on the lower part of his left ankle during a double play in the second inning.
Andrus received treatment and the injury was not considered serious.
Adam Rosales moved from second base to shortstop and usual second baseman Rougned Odor entered the game to take over at second. He batted second in place of Andrus.
The Rangers were trailing, 13-2, when Andrus exited. He was 0-for-2 on the night.
