Chirinos family, Rangers take part in Toy Drive

ARLINGTON -- Catcher Robinson Chirinos and his wife, Heidy, are serving as the honorary spokespersons for the Rangers' involvement in the 2015 Cowboys Santa Toy Drive. This is the fifth year the Rangers have been involved in the initiative.

The drive runs through Dec. 15, and individuals can drop off new, unwrapped toys or books for children through age 12 at either the Grand Slam Gift Shop at Globe Life Park or the Rangers' Fort Worth Team Shop at 316 Main St. during regular store hours. Items may also be dropped off at all Fort Worth Police and Fire Departments.

On Dec. 15 from 4-7 p.m. CT, the Rangers will sponsor a Cowboy Santas Toy Drive Event at Globe Life Park in the Vandergriff Plaza area in center field. Current and former Rangers players will be on hand to sign autographs during this event.

Holiday movies will be shown on the video screen, the Rangers KidsZone will be open, and drink and food specials will be provided by Sportservice. Other activities will include face painting, crafts and a photo booth with a special appearance by Santa Claus. In addition, complimentary holiday tours of Globe Life Park will be offered every half-hour during the Toy Drive Event.
