Rays prospect Disla suspended for PED use

Right-hander Jose Disla, a pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays' Dominican Summer League team, received a 50-game suspension after testing positive for performance-enhancing substances.

His suspension, effective at the start of the Dominican Summer League season, results from a violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program. Disla tested positive for the banned substances stanozolol and nandrolone.

Disla, 17, is a native of San Francisco de Macoris, D.R.
