Holt leaves game with dizziness

BOSTON --- Red Sox third baseman Brock Holt left Friday night's game against the Blue Jays because of dizziness he experienced in the 10th inning.

"He's been checked out by our medical staff. More illness related than anything else," Boston manager John Farrell said.

Will Middlebrooks, who came on to play third in the 10th, lined an RBI single to left to score the first of three Boston runs in the bottom of the inning in a 9-8 win at Fenway Park.

Holt went 1-for-5 with a run scored. He's played in 106 games and appeared in all but one contest since taking over the leadoff spot May 23. He's batting .281/.331/.381.
