Tickets for JetBlue Park start at just $5 for the 2012 Spring Training season

The Boston Red Sox today announced that tickets for the 2012 Spring Training season at JetBlue Park at Fenway South, the team's new 106-acre Spring Training and Player Development Complex in Lee County, Florida, go on sale Saturday, December 17 at 10:00 a.m.

Ticket prices at JetBlue Park range from $5 to $46 for the 2012 season. Fans can purchase tickets at City of Palms Park in Fort Myers, FL, online at redsox.com, and by phone at 888-REDSOX6. Fans who require ADA accessible seating may also call 877-REDSOX9.  Hearing impaired fans may call the Red Sox TTY line at (617) 226-6644.

This will be the team's first Spring Training season at the new Fenway South facility, which will provide a single, state-of-the-art, year-round site where both Major and Minor League teams will train together. JetBlue Park, the ballpark that sits within the Fenway South complex, features the identical seating bowl geometry and playing field dimensions as Fenway Park, and will also include improved amenities such as new food and beverage options, an HD video board and interactive family areas.

Before the move to JetBlue Park, the Red Sox will be holding a Yard Sale this Saturday, December 17, at City of Palms Park beginning at 8:00 a.m. The Yard Sale will give fans an opportunity to purchase a selection of items from the Red Sox' 20-year history at the ballpark, including memorabilia from former and current players ranging from jerseys and signed artwork, to ballpark furniture and other collectables. A portion of the Yard Sale proceeds will be donated to three local charitable organizations: Police Athletic League of Fort Myers; Abuse Counseling and Treatment, Inc.; and Child Care of Southwest Florida, Inc.

Lee County, Florida has been the Spring Training home of the Boston Red Sox since 1993. JetBlue Park will open with two college exhibitions on Saturday, March 3, featuring the Northeastern University Huskies at 2:35 p.m. followed by a nightcap with the Boston College Eagles at 7:05 p.m. The Red Sox will begin the 2012 Grapefruit League schedule at home on Sunday, March 4 at 1:35 p.m. against their Mayor's Cup rival Minnesota Twins.
