Reds' exhibition rained out in Pensacola

PENSACOLA, Fla. -- Mike Leake was scheduled to get some final work in for the regular season vs. Double-A Pensacola on Friday, but after a series of rain delays, the game was ultimately called.

Originally scheduled for a 7:05 ET first pitch, the game was pushed back to 8:05 before being canceled when the rain didn't let up.

The game would have been the first time a Major League team played in Pensacola since 1958, when Stan Musial and the St. Louis Cardinals played the Chicago White Sox.

Every effort was made to get the game played, or at least started for a sellout crowd. But the weather wouldn't cooperate.
