RHP Josh Kinney Outrighted to AAA Tacoma
Kinney has been on the disabled list all season with a stress reaction in the third rib on his left side.
SEATTLE, Wash. -- Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager Jack Zduriencik announced today the following roster move:
- RHP Josh Kinney returned from rehab assignment at AAA Tacoma, reinstated from 60-day disabled list and outrighted to AAA Tacoma.
The roster move still leaves the Mariners 40-man roster full at 40 players since Kinney was on the 60-day disabled list. Since Kinney is a previously outrighted player and has more than 3 years of MLB service time, he now has 3 days to accept the outright assignment to Tacoma or become a free agent.
Kinney, 34, has been on the disabled list since March 25 with a stress reaction in his third rib on his left side.
He made eight rehab appearances (over two stints) with the AAA Tacoma Rainiers, posting a 3.24 ERA (3 ER, 8.1 IP).
