Righty Fife undergoes Tommy John surgery
ATLANTA -- Stephen Fife underwent Tommy John surgery on Wednesday. The right-hander last pitched for Triple-A Albuquerque on July 18. Dr. Neal ElAttrache performed the surgery in Los Angeles.
"I'm not sure exactly when it all happened," Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said of Fife's UCL injury. "I know he's been having arm problems all year."
Fife made a spot start for Los Angeles on May 4, giving up four earned runs on seven hits in six innings against the Marlins.
