Stephenson continues dominant stretch for Bats

Reds No. 2 prospect strikes out 10 in 8 scoreless frames for Triple-A Louisville

Rob Stephenson is on quite a roll for Triple-A Louisville.

The Reds' No. 2 prospect (No. 43 overall) recorded 10 strikeouts over eight shutout innings as the Bats took down Charlotte, 3-1, on Tuesday night. The right-hander allowed three hits and one walk while hitting double digit Ks for the fourth time this season.

A first-round Draft pick in 2011, Stephenson has not allowed a run in his past two starts (14 total innings), over which time he's surrendered just five hits.

He's been solid since he was promoted from Double-A Pensacola earlier this month, notching a 4-0 record in five opportunities. He's 8-7 overall this year, topping his previous career-best mark of seven victories, which he reached in 2013 and 2014.
