Colorado Rockies activate outfielder Corey Dickerson and right-handed pitcher Latroy Hawkins from disabled list

MIAMI - The Colorado Rockies on Thursday activated outfielder Corey Dickerson and right-handed pitcher LaTroy Hawkins from the 15-day disabled list. Additionally, the club optioned outfielder Kyle Parker and right-hander Christian Bergman to Triple-A Albuquerque.

Dickerson, 26, was placed on the disabled list May 19 with plantar fasciitis in his left foot. In 33 games this season, he is hitting .306 (34-for-111) with five doubles, two triples, five home runs and 16 runs batted in.   Since making his Major League debut with the Rockies in 2013, he has hit .298 (221-for-741) with 34 homers and 109 RBI.

Hawkins was placed on the 15-day disabled list on April 22 with a right biceps strain. The 42-year-old right-hander, who announced that this will be his last season, has gone 1-1 with one save and a 10.50 ERA (6.0 IP, 7 ER) in seven appearances in 2015.

Parker, 25, was recalled from Albuquerque Tuesday when the club optioned right-handed pitcher Eddie Butler to Triple-A. He hit a single in his only at-bat vs. the Cardinals on Wednesday. In 53 games for Albuquerque this season, Parker has hit .275 (55-for-200) with seven doubles, one triple, seven home runs and 33 runs batted in.

Bergman, 26, has spent the season with the Rockies, the first Opening Day roster of his career. In 14 games, one start, he is 2-0 with a 4.18 ERA (32.1 IP, 15 ER) with seven walks and 20 strikeouts. He made 10 starts as a rookie in 2014, going 3-5 with a 5.93 ERA (54.2 IP, 36 ER).

The Rockies have a full 40-man roster.
