Rockies recall INF Cristhian Adames from Double-A Tulsa

Adames Joins Colorado Following the Completion of the Texas League Playoffs

DENVER - The Colorado Rockies announced today that the club has recalled infielder Cristhian Adames from Double-A Tulsa. Adames (#10) will be in uniform and available for tonight's game against Los Angeles at Coors Field (6:40 p.m. MDT).

Adames, 23, is making his second stint with Colorado as he made his Major League debut on July 29 at Chicago-NL when he entered the game in the bottom of the 10th inning as a defensive replacement. He ended up going 0-for-3 at the plate and recorded two put-outs and one assist in the field. Adames rejoins the Rockies having split the season between Double-A Tulsa and Triple-A Colorado Springs, while hitting a combined .288 (137-for-475) with 21 doubles, 4 triples, 3 home runs, 52 RBI and 61 runs. He recently spent four games with Tulsa in the Texas League playoffs. The native of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic was originally signed by Colorado as a non-drafted free agent on September 13, 2007.

The Rockies currently have a full 40-man roster.
