Royals enjoying robust support from fans

KANSAS CITY -- The crowd of 35,114 at the Royals-Giants game Saturday night boosted Kansas City's home attendance to 1,313,636 or an average of 23,458 a game.

The overall total is up 82,305 compared to the same 56 home dates in 2013. If the crowds remain steady for the remaining 25 dates, the Royals would have their biggest attendance since 1993, when they drew 1,934,570 for 80 dates.

They're on pace for 1,898,478 fans.
