Royals team up with Ericsson Managed Services & Sprint for phone recycling event

Fans can meet Jeremy Guthrie and Sluggerrr at events on July 10 and 24

The Kansas City Royals are partnering with Ericsson Managed Services and Sprint on a phone recycling campaign this season to provide a simple and convenient way for Royals fans and local residents to recycle old cell phones and accessories in exchange for Royals tickets and a Sprint store credit (on eligible phones) of up to $300. To promote the program, Royals pitcher Jeremy Guthrie will join Sluggerrr to meet fans at Sprint Stores on Friday, July 10 in Kansas City, Kan., and Friday, July 24 in Overland Park, Kan.

Fans who donate an eligible phone during these special events will receive two free Royals tickets to an upcoming 2015 home game, while supplies last. Cell phone batteries, chargers, cords and other related accessories will also be accepted. Fans can learn more about the event by visiting www.royals.com/recycle.
