Royals give fans chance to buy potential World Series tix

KANSAS CITY -- The Royals announced on Tuesday that there would be very limited single-game ticket availability for possible World Series games at Kauffman Stadium.

For an opportunity to reserve potential World Series tickets at Kauffman Stadium, Royals fans must register online at www.royals.com/postseason. Registration starts now and extends until Friday at noon.

The team will notify winners on or about Tuesday, Oct. 14, at which point they will receive the opportunity to purchase two tickets per World Series home game.

If the Royals emerge victorious in the American League Championship Series, they would host Game 1 (Oct. 21) and Game 2 (Oct. 22) at The K, because the AL beat the NL in this year's All-Star Game. Game 6 (Oct. 28) and Game 7 (Oct. 29) would also be at Kauffman Stadium, if necessary.

Refunds will be provided in the event that Kansas City does not reach the World Series.
