Omaha Storm Chasers (8-7)

Peguero's homer in the sixth snapped a 2-2 tie as Omaha took three of four in the series. Catcher Pena recorded a two-run homer in the fifth, his third round-tripper in his last three games. Omaha catchers homered in all four games, as Jesus Flores went deep on Thursday. Brett Tomko tossed five innings, striking out two while working around two solo homers.

Cheslor Cuthbert's RBI single in the eighth lifted Northwest Arkansas to a second straight win. Cuthbert, ranked 20th among Royals prospect by MLB.com, posted three hits with two RBIs. Brian Bocock doubled twice and scored three times. J.C. Sulbaran worked a season-high six innings, striking out four while allowing a run on five hits and two walks.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (7-7)

Wilmington at Myrtle Beach -- postponed due to rain

A doubleheader is on tap for Saturday, with the first game scheduled to start at 5:05 p.m. ET. Christian Binford (1-0, 0.00) will start Game 1, and Daniel Stumpf (0-2, 3.52 ERA) is set to pitch the nightcap. Binford is ranked 12th among MLB.com's list of top Royals prospects.

Lexington dropped to 1-1 vs. the GreenJackets. Humberto Arteaga (KC's 19th-ranked prospect), Alfredo Escalera and Dominique Taylor had two hits apiece. Starter Luke Farrell struck out five over three innings while yielding three unearned runs on four hits and two walks.
