Omaha Storm Chasers (61-63)

Omaha dropped to 1-1 vs. Fresno. Felipe Paulino made a rehab start, allowing five runs, eight hits and two walks over 3.1 innings. He fanned two and threw 75 pitches, 47 for strikes. Justin Marks worked the final 5.2 innings, striking out seven while yielding two runs (one earned), five hits and a walk. Max Ramirez doubled home two runs in the fourth. Quintin Berry's triple in the seventh plated Paulo Orlando and Ben Broussard's eighth-inning double scored Pedro Ciriaco.

NW Arkansas Naturals (25-26 2nd half, 50-71 overall)

HR: Lane Adams 3 (2, 3, 4 with NW Arkansas, 11 overall), Matt Fields (28)

Lane Adams put on a show, tying Northwest Arkansas franchise records with three home runs and seven RBI. The Oklahoma native began the second with his first roundtripper. Matt Fields followed with his league-leading 28th homer. Adams hit a grand slam in the seventh and a two-run shot in the eighth. Brooks Pounders struck out eight while limiting the Hooks to one run, seven hits and a walk over 5.0 innings.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (22-28 2nd half, 55-65 overall)

Wilmington 3, Salem 2 (18 innings)
WP: Tyler Sample (2-4)
HR: None

Wilmington won an 18-inning marathon as Dennis Raben's single plated Jack Lopez. Salem's Stefan Welch hit a two-run homer in the first off J.C. Sulbaran (6.0 IP, 3 H, 2 ER). The Blue Rocks were in shutdown mode after that, compiling 17.0 scoreless innings, including 12.0 innings from the bullpen. Tyler Sample worked the last 3.0 frames for the win. Parker Morin recorded two doubles and an RBI for the Rocks.

Lexington Legends (30-21 2nd half, 63-56 overall)

Charleston 2, Lexington 1

HR: None

Lexington lost the opener as Charleston scored on an infield single in the eighth. Starter Miguel Almonte limited the RiverDogs to a run on four hits and two walks over 6.0 innings. Terrance Gore was 2-for-4 with a run scored for the Legends. Raul Mondesi added two hits and is batting .308 (44-for-143) since July 1.

Idaho Falls Chukars (8-5 2nd half, 27-24 overall)

HR: None

The Chukars had a five-game winning streak snapped in the opener vs. Billings. The Mustangs plated a pair in the first off of Jake Junis, who went on to fan 12 over 7.0 solid innings. Daniel Rockettt was 1-for-3 with an RBI, boosting his average to .302 (45-for-149).

Burlington split a pair of seven-inning games on the road. Tyler Chism hit a pair of home runs and drove in three in game one. Desmond Henry homered in game two. He was acquired in March, completing a trade that sent Tommy Hottovy to Texas.

Surprise Royals (6-10 2nd half, 16-28 overall)

Arizona Giants 9, Surprise 4
LP: Carlos Herrera (3-1)
HR: None

Surprise scored two in the first but could not win in the second half of a home-and-home. Carlos Herrera took his first loss with Surprise, allowing five runs (four earned) over 3.0 innings. Edinson Rincon was 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run. He's batting .459 (17-for-37) during his rehab assignment.
