Omaha Storm Chasers (70-63)

The Storm Chasers extended their division lead to 2.0 games with a win at Tacoma. All of the scoring came in the first, with Johnny Giavotella and Francisco Pena driving in runs for Omaha. Liam Hendriks held the Rainiers to an unearned run, six hits and two walks while striking out seven over 8.0 innings. He has a 2.45 ERA on the year.

NW Arkansas Naturals (26-32 second half, 51-78 overall)

Northwest Arkansas was swept in a four-game set, with three of the games decided by a single run and the other contest going 12 innings. Justin Trapp led the Naturals with three hits. Jorge Bonifacio and Ethan Chapman each drove in a run. Springfield scored all three runs in the third off of J.C. Sulbaran (2.2 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 3 SO). Noel Arguelles and Malcom Culver tossed 2.0 scoreless innings apiece.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (28-29 second half, 61-64 overall)

The Blue Rocks dropped game one at Salem on a walk-off single in the 10th. Wilmington scored all three runs in the second, taking a 3-1 lead. Cam Gallagher doubled home a pair of runs and Michael Antonio recorded an RBI on a ground out. Brooks Pounders (5.0 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 6 SO) made his first appearance with Wilmington after a rehab stint at Idaho Falls.

Lexington scored four in the ninth to overtake Augusta in game one. Elier Hernandez was 3-for-4 with two runs. He has hit in six straight games (.542, 13-for-24), scoring 10 runs. Alec Mills held Augusta to two runs (one earned) over 5.0 IP.

Idaho Falls Chukars (13-12 second half, 33-30 overall)

Rain delayed play between Idaho Falls and Grand Junction for a fourth straight day, however, the teams played all of the scheduled innings on Friday. The Chukars walked away with a pair of wins and are 3.0 games behind first-place Grand Junction with 13 games to play. The Chukars built on a 7-0 lead from Thursday's suspended game. Ryan O'Hearn drove in five while Corey Toups had three hits, an RBI and three runs. Torey Deshazier posted 5.0 scoreless innings in the nightcap, scattering six hits and a walk with seven strikeouts. Wander Franco was 3-for-3.

Burlington Royals (27-33)

Burlington 5, Bristol 4

HR: None

Blue Springs native Logan Moon delivered a two-run walk-off single, lifting the Royals to a fifth straight win. Manny Olloque's two-run single keyed a three-run eighth as Burlington tied the game at 3-3. Bristol moved ahead in the ninth before Moon's big hit. Foster Griffin, the 27th overall pick in June, tossed 3.0 scoreless innings with two strikeouts.
