Omaha won the completion of a suspended game, then dropped a seven-inning nightcap. Brett Tomko picked up where he left off in the suspended contest, holding Round Rock to two runs (one earned), five hits and three walks. He notched a season-high eight strikeouts and moved to 3-0 over a four start stretch, holding opponents to three earned runs in 21.0 innings. Jimmy Paredes doubled home two runs in the fourth, adding to his RBI double on May 8. Brett Eibner finished with two hits, two runs, an RBI and two walks. Carlos Peguero and Paulo Orlando hit solo homers in the second contest. Orlando's homer extended his road hitting streak to 29 games.

The Naturals snapped a five-game losing streak with a closing win at Corpus Christi. Andy Ferguson fanned eight over 7.0 strong innings, holding the Hooks to a run, three hits and two walks. Andrew Triggs earned the save, striking out five over the final 2.0 innings. Mark Threlkeld hit a game-tying homer in the seventh. 19th-ranked Royals prospect Cheslor Cuthbert delivered a go-ahead RBI double in the eighth, scoring third-ranked prospect Jorge Bonifacio.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (27-28)

Wilmington dropped to 0-3 in a four-game road set. Mark Donato drove home Hunter Dozier to give the Rocks a 1-0 lead in the fourth. Frederick countered with three in the home half and one in the fifth. Fourth-ranked prospect Sean Manaea struck out five while allowing three runs, six hits and three walks over 4.0 innings. Dozier and Zane Evans had two hits apiece. Dozier, ranked sixth among Royals prospects by MLB.com, is batting .429 (18-for-42) with seven doubles, seven RBI and 12 runs since May 20. Evans is ranked 16th among Royals prospects.

Lexington finished 1-3 vs. Augusta. Pedro Fernandez (4.0 IP, 4 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 3 SO) lost in his 2014 debut. Frank Schwindel capped his spectacular week, hitting his sixth home run in a six-game stretch (one game with two home runs). KC's 18th-round pick in 2013, Schwindel was named South Atlantic League Player of the Week on Monday. Mauricio Ramos, Dominique Taylor and Ramon Torres had two hits apiece.
