Royals Minor League Report: June 6

Omaha Storm Chasers (35-25)

The Storm Chasers were off on Wednesday. They host Round Rock (Rangers) this evening, with three-time All-Star Roy Oswalt scheduled to start for the Express. Everett Teaford is slated for a rehab start with Omaha. Chris Getz and Salvador Perez will also be joining the Storm Chasers on rehab assignments.

NW Arkansas Naturals (30-27)

Eric Duncan's solo homer in the eighth lifted the Naturals to a series-opening win at home. Duncan finished with three hits, boosting his average to .314 (32-for-102). Elisaul Pimentel (6.0 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 4 BB, 5 SO) limited Arkansas to a lone run on a solo homer in the second. Jon Keck tossed 2.0 scoreless innings for his first Double-A win.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (28-30)

HR: None

Wilmington dropped to 2-1 in a four-game series vs. Carolina. Starter Tyler Sample scattered two runs on five hits and four walks over 6.0 innings. Carolina broke a 2-2 tie with a run in the seventh off of Sam Runion. The Mudcats added a pair in the ninth. Juan Graterol doubled home both Wilmington runs in the second. Roman Hernandez was 3-for-4 plus a run.

Kane County Cougars (31-28)

Danny Mateo's three-run homer keyed a four-run third inning as Kane County opened with a win over Quad Cities. Aaron Brooks tossed 7.0 innings, allowing three runs on six hits and no walks.
