Omaha dropped a pair of seven-inning contests at Nashville. The Storm Chasers scored three in the seventh to tie Game 1 at 4-4 before losing on a walk-off homer by Matt Pagnozzi. Brian Fletcher was 2-for-3 plus a run. Carlos Peguero gave the Storm Chasers an early lead in Game 2 with a two-run homer. Ryan Verdugo took the loss in his 2014 debut. 15th-ranked Royals prospect Christian Colon had two hits, an RBI and a run in the nightcap. Paulo Orlando hit safely in both games, extending his road hitting streak to 21 games.

San Antonio hit a pair of late solo homers, handing Northwest Arkansas a loss in the series opener. Sam Selman was outstanding as he tossed six scoreless innings, striking out eight while limiting the Missions to three hits and a walk. Selman is ranked 12th among Royals prospects by MLB.com.

Bubba Starling's two-run walk-off triple in Game 2 highlighted a doubleheader. The seventh-ranked Royals prospect was a combined 3-for-6 on the night with three RBIs and three runs scored. He has hit safely in 10 straight games at a .343 clip (12-for-35), scoring 10 times and driving in nine. Sean Manaea picked up the win in Game 1, recording a career-high 10 strikeouts over five innings. KC's No. 4 prospect according to MLB.com, Manaea allowed three runs, six hits and three walks. Mark Donato, Cam Gallagher and Daniel Rockett drove in two runs apiece. Sixth-ranked prospect Hunter Dozier reached four times in the opener, going 2-for-2 with a double, an RBI, two walks and three runs.

Lexington Legends (21-24)

Wednesday was a travel day for the entire South Atlantic League. The Legends, in the middle of an eight-game homestand, enjoyed a day at home.
