Four Omaha pitchers combined on a three-hit shutout. Clayton Mortensen made his season debut, scattering two hits and two walks while fanning four over five innings. Casey Coleman (2 IP), Wilking Rodriguez (1 IP) and Spencer Patton (1 IP) completed the blanking. Paulo Orlando tripled in the eighth and scored on a Christian Colon single. Carlos Peguero scored an insurance run in the ninth.

Northwest Arkansas tied a road contest at 5 in the ninth, with San Antonio walking off in the home half. The Naturals scored their first four runs in the opening inning, including a pair on a Lane Adams double. Juan Graterol added two hits and two RBIs. No. 8 Royals prospect Jason Adam allowed four runs (two earned), six hits and two walks while striking out two over 5 1/3 innings.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (27-24)

Wilmington produced a second shutout in as many days, with the pitching staff striking out 10 and walking none. Fifth-ranked Royals prospect Miguel Almonte (6 1/3 IP, 5 H, 7 K) earned his third win. Kyle Bartsch struck out two over 1 2/3 innings, and Mark Peterson (1 IP, 1 K) picked up his 10th save. The Blue Rocks scored all three runs in the second, including two unearned tallies.

Lexington won the finale at Asheville behind a big day from first baseman Frank Schwindel, who posted four hits and six RBIs. Schwindel had two doubles, a homer, two runs and a walk. The home runs was his second in as many days. Alfredo Escalera added three hits, two RBIs and four runs while Ramon Torres homered and scored four times.
