Omaha Storm Chasers (14-18)

Omaha evened the series at a game apiece behind a strong outing from Brooks, who earned his first Triple-A win. The righty fanned five, walked none and carried a shutout into the seventh. He allowed two runs and four hits in 6 1/3 innings. Colon, who is the Royals' No. 15 prospect, hit a solo homer and finished 2-for-5 with two RBIs. Pedro Ciriaco added two hits, two RBIs and a run. Ciriaco is 5-for-7 in the series.

NW Arkansas Naturals (11-21)

The Naturals enjoyed an off-day at home on Wednesday. They host the Springfield Cardinals on Thursday.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (14-16)

Salem 2, Wilmington 1

HR: None

Wilmington was held hitless until the sixth in a rubber game loss at Salem. Terrance Gore singled in the sixth and Jack Lopez laced an eighth-inning double for the lone Wilmington safeties. Caramo pitched well in defeat, recording one strikeout while yielding six hits, one run and a walk over five innings.

Lexington Legends (13-19)

Lexington 4, Asheville 2
WP: Luke Farrell (1-3)
SV: Luis Santos (2)
HR: None

Farrell set a career high with 10 strikeouts, leading Lexington to an opening win. He held the Tourists to two runs (one earned) and three hits without a walk over six innings. Santos struck out four over three shutout frames to earn his second save. Michael Antonio and Humberto Arteaga, who is ranked the Royals' No. 18 prospect, recorded two hits and an RBI apiece.
