Omaha's game at Round Rock was suspended in the middle of the third due to rain and unplayable conditions. The game will resume on Sunday, June 1. Brett Tomko struck out five while allowing an unearned run through two innings. Jimmy Paredes doubled home Brett Eibner in the third, tying the score at 1-1.

NW Arkansas Naturals (11-22)

Northwest Arkansas lost Game 1 vs. Springfield as the Cards plated nine runs from the fourth through the sixth. Tim Melville struck out three and was charged with five runs (three earned), six hits and four walks over four innings. He has a 2.83 ERA on the year (11 earned runs in 35.0 innings). Mark Threlkeld was 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Whit Merrifield added two hits, a walk and a run.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (14-17)

Wilmington dropped the opener vs. Lynchburg, with the Hillcats building scoring seven in the eighth to build a late 9-1 lead. Jonathan Dziedzic pitched well in defeat, fanning two while allowing two runs (one earned), four hits and no walks over six innings. Johermyn Chavez hit a solo homer in the seventh. Jack Lopez recorded three hits, including a double.

Elier Hernandez hit a go-ahead home run in the sixth, lifting Lexington to a second straight win. Hernandez is ranked 10th among Royals prospects by MLB.com. Michael Antonio was 3-for-3 with a walk, a two-run homer and three RBIs. Jake Junis tossed a career-high eight innings, striking out five while yielding three runs (two earned), six hits and a walk.
