Royals sign lefty Collins to one-year deal

KANSAS CITY -- The Royals and left-hander Tim Collins have agreed to a one-year deal for 2016 worth $1.475 million.

Collins, 26, was arbitration-eligible after missing the 2015 season because of Tommy John surgery. He made $1.475 million as well in 2015.

Collins, 12-17 with a 3.54 ERA in 228 big league games -- all coming in relief with the Royals -- would get $50,000 for an All-Star Game selection in 2016.
