• The Padres played a 'B' game on Monday morning in Peoria, losing to the White Sox, 4-1. Catcher Austin Hedges had two hits and shortstop Jeudy Valdez knocked in the only run with a home run. Pitcher Miles Mikolas struck out two in two scoreless innings. Jose De Paula also fared well, striking out two in two shutouts innings. Johnny Barbato allowed three earned runs on four hits in 1 1/3 innings.
