• Closer Huston Street, sidelined with a slight groin pull, played long toss on Friday morning and if all goes well, could progress to a side throwing session as soon as Saturday. Manager Bud Black said he's not at all worried about Street as it's still early in camp and the team has a lot of time - and innings to be had - before the regular season starts on March 30.

• The Padres' games on Saturday and Sunday will be televised by Fox Sports San Diego. The game Saturday will be against the Indians at 12:05 p.m. PT. The game on Sunday against the Rangers will also be shown live at 12:05 p.m. PT

• Manager Bud Black said Friday that the team could begin to thin the roster in the next few days, as the Padres still have 60 players in camp. Those roster moves will see most, if not all, of the players heading over to Minor League camp.
