Smoke signals

• Sunday's 4-3 victory over Detroit gave the Indians four straight series wins for the first time since August 2008.

• Cleveland is 6-0 this season in games that have been decided in the seventh inning or later. That includes a 3-0 record in games that have gone extra innings.

• In the first game of Monday's doubleheader, center fielder Michael Bourn was caught stealing for the first time this season. He was thrown out at second by Yankees catcher Chris Stewart in the bottom of the first. Bourn is now 3-for-4 in stolen-base attempts.
