Statcast breaks down Jones' homer off CC

On Tuesday night in Baltimore, Jones connected off Yankees starter CC Sabathia for his fourth homer of the young season. Jones swung at what looked like an offspeed pitch and got the bat around, pulling it out of Camden Yards to left field.

Statcast shows why. The exit velocity off the bat head was a robust 101 mph, the projected distance was a way-more-than-good-enough 389.7 feet, and the hang time of 4.26 seconds made it a bit of a moonshot.
