Statement from the Boston Red Sox

BOSTON, MA - A young woman suffered serious injuries shortly after the conclusion of last night's game at Fenway Park. Various Red Sox personnel responded immediately and worked alongside the Boston Police Department, Boston Fire Department, and Emergency Medical Services to address the situation. She was transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center where she is being treated.  

The Massachusetts Department of Public Safety and the Boston Police Department are working to determine exactly what happened.

Due to the ongoing investigation, and out of respect for the family of the young woman who was injured, the Red Sox will have no further comment at this time.
