T.A.K.E. Defense class Saturday at The K

DETROIT -- The annual T.A.K.E. Defense class will be held on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. CT on the field at Kauffman Stadium. It is free and open to all females age 12 and older.

Participants must pre-register online at Royals.com/takedefense and sign a waiver. Persons under the age of 18 also need a signature from a parent or guardian to participate. The entrance is through Gate 1 off the Blue Ridge Cut-Off with parking in Lot A.

The self-defense program is given by Royals Charities, the Ali Kemp Educational Foundation and 99.7 The Point. The first session was in 2008.
