Rays 2015 Fan Fest scheduled for Feb. 21

ST. PETERSBURG -- Fan Fest is fast approaching. The Rays announced on Tuesday that the 2015 Tampa Bay Rays Fan Fest is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 21, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. ET at Tropicana Field. Admission and parking for the event are free.

As usual, kids will be a priority at the yearly event. Among the myriad of kids activities will be "Reading with the Rays," new interactive zones and photos with Rays mascot Raymond and DJ Kitty.

In addition, there will be baseball activities for all ages, along with appearances by Tampa Bay players and coaches at various stations throughout the day.

Similar to last year's Fan Fest, fans will have the opportunity to receive autographs from specific players by purchasing a pass prior to the event. A limited number of passes will be sold for each signing player and all sales must be completed online. Passes will be available for purchase at a later date.

Proceeds from autograph sales will benefit the ALS Association Florida Chapter and the Rays Baseball Foundation. Additionally, one autograph table will be free for kids 14 and younger. More than 30 former Major League players will also sign autographs for free throughout the day.

The Rays' Charity Yard Sale will return for a fifth year, giving fans the chance to purchase unique game-used and autographed memorabilia dating back to the inaugural season. All proceeds benefit the Rays Baseball Foundation. Season-ticket holders will receive premium access to the Charity Yard Sale, giving them the first opportunity to purchase available items.

Between the Rays' Charity Yard Sale and autograph sales at the 2014 Rays Fan Fest, $100,000 was raised to benefit local Salvation Army chapters, the ALS Association Florida Chapter and the Rays Baseball Foundation.

A special Fan Fest Flex Pack that includes a Kevin Kiermaier bobblehead and other Fan Fest benefits went on sale Tuesday. Fans can also place their reservation now toward a 2015 ticket plan.
