Texas Rangers to host Japan America Friendship Night for this evening's game

The Texas Rangers will host Japan America Friendship Night this evening when the club plays the Milwaukee Brewers at 7:05 p.m. at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.

The honorable Kenichiro Sasae, the Japanese Ambassador to the United States, will be attending tonight's game and will participate in the ceremonial first pitch ceremony. A number of other dignitaries will also be in attendance this evening.   

The Rangers will host approximately 100 youngsters from the Dallas Japanese Association Youth softball team. In addition, members of the Dallas Japanese Association, the Japan-America Society of Dallas, and the Dallas Yu Darvish Fan Club will participate in a pre-game on-field flag ceremony. The Japanese Drum Group Kiyari Daiko will perform on the main concourse of Rangers Ballpark from 6:00-6:30 p.m.
