• As Thursday's 3 p.m. CT non-waiver Trade Deadline approaches, the White Sox continue to look as if they will come away on the other side with the same roster intact.

John Danks remains in line to start the afternoon finale at Comerica Park. A player such as shortstop Alexei Ramirez, who emerges as the team's most valuable trade chip, would demand a large return, considering the White Sox don't have a true shortstop behind him.

"You are probably going to see the same guys that are here right now," White Sox manager Robin Ventura said. "Not anticipating anything. We'll continue to do what we are doing here and not worry about it."

• Conor Gillaspie needs eight plate appearances over the final two games in Detroit to qualify for the AL batting leaders. Gillaspie's .327 mark would have placed him tied for second with Robinson Cano entering Wednesday's action.

"The more I look into that, the more disappointing it gets when you don't do well," Gillaspie said. "The biggest thing is to stay the course, focus on things you can control and at the end of the year, wherever that is, it would be a good feeling to know you made adjustments and learned over the course of a year."

• Adam Dunn went 1-for-4 with a homer, walk and two strikeouts during Tuesday night's victory over the Tigers, marking his 123rd game with at least one homer, one walk and one strikeout. It's the fifth-most such games all-time, trailing Jim Thome (154), Mark McGwire (133), Babe Ruth (125) and Barry Bonds (125).

• Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney will throw out a first pitch prior to Friday's home contest against the Twins.
