Tim Hudson to Bring Fantasy Football to AT&T Park to Benefit Charity

Tim Hudson, joined by several of his Giants teammates, including Madison Bumgarner, Brandon Belt, Hunter Pence, Javier Lopez and Jeremy Affeldt, will be hosting the inaugural Huddy's Huddle Fantasy Football challenge to benefit local charities on Wednesday, August 13, after the Giants versus Chicago White Sox game at AT&T Park.

Fans who sign up to participate in this unique football fantasy draft will be randomly assigned to a team in the Huddy's Huddle league captained by either Hudson, Bumgarner, Belt, Pence, Lopez or Affeldt. They will have weekly interaction with their captain throughout the fantasy football season. Participants will also enjoy a draft day experience at AT&T Park which includes, a pre-game field visit; photo opportunity with both the 2010 & 2012 World Series trophies; a ticket to attend the game on draft day; an autographed baseball from the captain of their designated conference; and food and beverage during the draft.

Fans can register online at www.bigleagueimpact.org. The entry fee is $3,000 per participant.

Proceeds will benefit the Giants Community Fund, Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area, the San Francisco Homeless Prenatal Program and Big League Impact

Hudson is one of 10 participating Major League players who are leading this fundraising effort in their respective cities. Participating players include Freddie Freeman (Atlanta); Cole Hamels (Philadelphia); Clayton Kershaw (Los Angeles); Justin Masterson (Cleveland); Max Scherzer (Detroit); Adam Wainwright (St. Louis); Neil Walker (Pittsburgh); Skip Schumaker (Cincinnati); and David Wright (New York).

"What a great opportunity to combine two other passions of mine, in addition to baseball, football and charity. When Wainwright approached me about establishing a fantasy football league in San Francisco that was focused on raising money for charity I was on board. I asked a few of my teammates to join me and they are in and now we just need the fans to join us and we are going to have some fun this football season following our teams all in the name of these great charitable organizations," said Hudson.

Huddy's Huddle is being organized in partnership with Big League Impact, a not-for-profit organization with a mission to support essential needs causes (e.g. food, water, shelter and other basic needs) domestically and abroad.
