Twins Agree to Terms with Jamey Carroll
Two-Year Contract with a Mutual Option for 2014
Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have agreed to terms with infielder Jamey Carroll on a two-year contract with a mutual option for the 2014 season.
Carroll, 37, batted .290 (131-for-452) with 14 doubles, six triples and 17 rbi in 146 games for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2011. He has played in 100-or-more games in eight of the last nine seasons.
Carroll has played for the Montreal Expos (2002-04), Washington Nationals (2005), Colorado Rockies (2006-07), Cleveland Indians (2008-09) and Los Angeles Dodgers (2010-11). He has a career batting average of .278 (826-for-2974) with 121 doubles, 26 triples, 12 home runs and 214 rbi in 1065 games.
