Quade, Mientkiewicz return to Minors posts

Twins announce 2016 organizational coaching staffs

The Twins have announced their Minor League staff positions for the 2016 season, with a number of key coaches and managers returning.

Mike Quade will manage Triple-A Rochester for the second straight season, and Doug Mientkiewicz will manage in the system for the fourth straight year and second with Double-A Chattanooga.

The following are also returning to their same posts: Jeff Smith as manager of Class A Advanced Fort Myers (11th year as manager in the organization and second with the Miracle), Jake Mauer as manager of Class A Cedar Rapids (ninth year overall, fourth with the Kernels), Ray Smith with Rookie Level Elizabethton (23rd year as manager and 30th on staff), Ramon Borrego with the Rookie Level Gulf Coast League Twins (sixth season as manager) and Jimmy Alvarez with the Dominican Summer League Twins (his seventh season as manager).

Joel Lepel will return for his 11th year as the organization's Minor League field coordinator, Eric Rasmussen will return for his eighth season as pitching coordinator and former Twins and Orioles manager Sam Perlozzo will return as the Minor League infield and baserunning coordinator for the third year.

Former Twins great Tony Oliva will continue in his role as hitting coach, in addition to his community relations activities with the club.
