Twins announce Spring Training broadcast schedule

MINNEAPOLIS -- The Twins announced their broadcast schedule for Spring Training on Wednesday, as a dozen games will be televised on Fox Sports North, while 18 games will be carried via radio and also streamed at twinsbaseball.com.

Fox Sports North is set to televise 12 games, with 10 of those home games at renovated Hammond Stadium at the CenturyLink Sports Complex in Fort Myers, Fla. The first game televised is March 4, when the Twins host the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers in an exhibition game at Hammond Stadium.

Dick Bremer will handle the play-by-play, and will be joined by Hall of Famer Bert Blyleven and Twins great Jack Morris. But six of the televised games are TV-radio simulcasts that will feature the radio broadcast as the audio for the game. For the radio broadcasts, Cory Provus will serve as the play-by-play announcer and will be joined by Twins great Dan Gladden.

The 12 televised games are March 4 vs. the University of Minnesota, March 5 vs. the Red Sox, March 8 vs. the Orioles, March 12 vs. the Marlins, March 14 at the Cardinals, March 15 vs. the Cardinals, March 19 at the Rays, March 21 vs. the Orioles, March 28 vs. the Phillies, March 31 vs. the Yankees, April 2 vs. the Red Sox and April 4 vs. the Red Sox. The games on March 4, 5, 8, 12 and 31 and April 4 will be TV-radio simulcasts featuring Provus and Gladden.

Meanwhile, on the radio, the Treasure Island Baseball Network will broadcast 18 games that will also be streamed on twinsbaseball.com. Go 96.3, the rebranded Twins Cities radio home of the Twins since the 2013 season, will broadcast 14 games.

The games that will be aired on radio, but won't be broadcast on television, will be March 7 at the Red Sox, March 20 vs. Pittsburgh, March 22 at the Marlins, March 24 at the Blue Jays, March 27 at the Pirates, March 29 at the Orioles, March 30 at the Red Sox and April 3 at the Red Sox. The four games that won't be carried by Go 96.3 are March 12, March 20, March 24 and March 27. Additionally, the club's game against the Red Sox on April 2 will only be televised by Fox Sports North but won't be available on the radio.
