Twins reinstate Plouffe
Option Herrmann to Triple-A Rochester
Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN -- The Minnesota Twins announced tonight that they have returned Trevor Plouffe from his rehab assignment at Triple-A Rochester and reinstated him from the 15-day disabled list (strained left calf). Plouffe appeared in four games with the Red Wings hitting .333 (5-for-15) with one home run and three RBI.
To make room for Plouffe on the 25-man roster, the Twins have optioned catcher Chris Herrmann to Triple-A Rochester. Herrmann has appeared in seven games with the Twins hitting .462 (6-for-13) with one home run and four RBI.
