Twins to recall Lester Oliveros

Club Will Make a Corresponding Move Tomorrow

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced tonight that they will recall right-handed pitcher Lester Oliveros from Triple-A Rochester.  In 12 games for the Red Wings this season, Oliveros went 1-1 with a 4.08 ERA (17.2 ip, 8 er) with four saves, 22 strikeouts and five walks for the Red Wings.  He also appeared in 13 games for Double-A New Britain earlier this season, going 1-1 with a 1.42 ERA (19.0 ip, 3 er) and two saves.

To make room for Oliveros on the 25-man roster, the Twins will make a corresponding move prior to tomorrow night’s game against the Philadelphia Phillies.
