TwinsFest Jan. 29-31 at Target Field
Over 60 former, current and future players to attend
MINNEAPOLIS -- The Twins will host TwinsFest at Target Field for a third straight year, as the event will be held from Jan. 29-31, the club announced Thursday.
TwinsFest, which was created in 1989 and formerly held at the Metrodome, moved to Target Field in 2014. It's the largest fundraiser for the Twins Community Fund, and is set to feature more than 60 former, current and future Twins players.
"We're excited to again host TwinsFest at Target Field, the capital of Twins Territory," Twins president Dave St. Peter said. "As always, TwinsFest will serve as the unofficial start to a new baseball season while also helping raise significant proceeds for the Twins Community Fund and its many worthwhile programs across Twins Territory."
Tickets for the event go on sale to the general public on Dec. 8 at 10 a.m. CT and will be available online at twinsbaseball.com. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children 14 and younger. Ticket sales are capped to avoid overcrowding.
Similar to the past two years, there will be player autographs, photo opportunities, sports memorabilia and a collector's show. But there's also plenty of other ways to interact with the players, including through boardwalk-style games and question-and-answer panels. New additions this season include Twins Jeopardy, human foosball and giant Jenga.
The Twins also offer self-guided clubhouse tours, the chance to hit in the batting cages and a guided tour of the Twins Archive Room. The annual yard sale also returns with fans able to buy Twins gear and memorabilia at discounted prices.
TwinsFest is one of the biggest team-run fan festivals in sports and has raised $4.3 million for the Twins Community Fund over the past 25 years.
